Reviews
They described it as ‘Panto meets Cirque’. And Blackpool Gazette editor Vanessa Sims reveals it didn’t disappoint.
“Boy George arrived on stage to huge applause, in a life size galleon wearing his trademark eyeliner and huge hat. When he belted out Karma Chameleon – it was clear to see he was in his element.
The big budget extravaganza was a real crowd pleaser. Peter Pan aka Jordan Conway was fabulous. He was funny, slapstick and engaging. And his aerial acrobatics were very impressive.
Wendy was also brilliant. Her rendition of ‘My Heart Will Go On’ while being attacked by pirates with cream pies was faultless.
I enjoyed how the stars interacted with the audience and the cackles of laughter from the young crowd was nothing short of heart-warming.
The show featured cirque performers, dazzling aerial stunts, and most impressively a giant battle where the audience throws cannonballs at Hook and his ship.”
“For great family-fun I would recommend this show for you.”
Simply Theatre UK - ‘Absolutely Spectacular'
“I loved this Panto, it had everything you’d want in a panto from slosh scenes to innuendo and Boy George galore! The set was really clever they used a huge LED Screen and also a LIFE-SIZED Pirate Ship.
The highlight of the show was definitely watching Boy George sing Karma Chameleon as it’s not everyday you’d see Boy George in a Pantomime playing Captain Hook singing all the Greatest Culture Club Songs.
My favourite character was Samuel Fogell who played Smee, he was so good with the kids and just seems like a natural born comic.
All the Aerial, Straps and Hoop acts through the performance were mesmerising, sitting on the edge of your seats.”

About The Show
This big budget extravaganza adaptation of J.M Barrie’s much-loved tale Peter Pan promises a spectacular spin on the timeless classic adventure.
Following the success of ELF: THE MUSICAL arena tour last year, the same production team headed by the maestro producer Jon Conway are at the helm of a “supersize spectacle” with awe-inspiring special effects and lots of fun.
Boy George says: “I’m really looking forward to playing Captain Hook and showing off my evil side! I make my first entrance on a life size galleon that sails around the stage. Although the show has traditional pantomime elements, it is so much more, being a mix of cirque and spectacular event … and I get a chance to fight a giant animatronic crocodile. What’s not to like?”
The cast of fifty includes a dozen cirque performers, dazzling aerial stunts, a giant battle where the audience throw cannonballs at Hook’s ship, plus a large troupe of Irish and Highland dancers.
The production has fabulous animated digital sets and is an immersive experience of magic and wonderment. Producer Jon Conway adds: “I am thrilled to be working with Boy George, surely one of the most iconic stars of all time, who will make this production stylish and unique. We use every square inch of the stage and auditorium to deliver a massive production both breath-taking and hilarious. Two huge LED screens make sure nobody ever misses any of the action.
